Boxi, Friedrichshain

Saturday has it’s own rhythm. Depending on the night before, it has to be slow sometimes. Since few weeks we have Silo cafe, that is too close not to use it during this tough days. When coffee helps you feel like a human again, there’s a Boxi (Boxhagener Platz) just behind the corner. On Sundays it’s famous for it’s flea market, but Saturdays belong to fruits, veggies, flowers and food in general. Everything is so beautiful and tasty around that you feel better and better with each round.

Klunkerkranich, rooftop in Neukoln

Klunkerkranich-Rooftop-3
Sky over Berlin is incredible. I have never seen so many beautiful sunsets in one city. It does not happen every day, but often enough. It makes you want to go on a roof and feel the space. And there is a perfect spot for it – Klunkerkranich located on a last floor of Arkaden’s parking in Neukoln. I ended up over here by accident, while looking for a rooftop to take pictures from and I instantly fell in love with this spot.

There is a nice garden and a bar area just next to it. You can have a drink, relax and enjoy the view, while listening to some good tunes.Project was supposed to be open for a summer, but weather is still perfect in Berlin, so enjoy.

The Boros Collection

Die Sammlung Boros 1
There are places worth visiting, places that make an amazing impression on you. One of them is Bunker in Berlin, where you can admire a private collection of a contemporary art. The place itself looks great and has an interesting history that you’ll get to know during a 90 minutes tour. Just to mention it shortly – it used to be a prison, warehouse for tropical fruits, techno parties spot and an erotic trade fair. Then in 2003 Christian Boros bought it and now you can admire his private contemporary art collection inside. It is all located on many floors and it’s definitely worth seeing ( You can’t take pictures of pieces, but you can get an idea on the website. ). And proud owners live in a penthouse built on top of a bunker.

Exhibition changes each few years, this started in 2012 so you still have time to see it. The only thing is that you need to register in advance, as groups are small (12 people), you can see it only Thu-Sun and places disappear fast.
